Jesus and the Great Commission | Sunday Message

As Christians, seeing someone make a profession of faith is one of the best things we can experience. But today, Pastor Greg Laurie forces us to stop and think: when is the last time it was me inviting someone to take that step? And he reveals that not sharing your faith can actually be a sin.   The Great Commission is for every follower of Christ. Get the encouragement and insight you need to embrace God's calling. Notes: Focus verse - Matthew 28 God has called every believer to preach the gospel and make disciples.   "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. ” Mark 16: 15 (NLT)   Read Matthew 28: 18–20   #1 Jesus gave a command.   #2 These words are for every follower of Jesus Christ.   #3 God will give us the power and boldness to fulfill the Great Commission.   To “go and make disciples” means to lead others to Christ.   #4 To not share your faith can be a sin.   A sin of omission is not doing what you should do. James 4: 17   The fate that awaits the nonbeliever is worse than a housefire. It’s eternal fire.   Go into all of your world and share the gospel.   FRAN-gelism Friends, Relatives, Associates, Neighbors   #5 Christ has the answer to emptiness, loneliness, guilt, and the fear of death.   "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. ” John 3: 16 (NKJV)   No matter who we are, we all have sinned. Romans 3: 23, 1 John 1: 8    Christ died on the cross for us, so we don’t have to face hell. Romans 5: 6–8    #7 We are not just called to preach the gospel, but to make disciples also. Matthew 28: 18–20   God’s truth is meant to be shared, not hoarded.   “He [Jesus] is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. ” Colossians 1: 28 (NIV)   Bring a nonbeliever or new believer to church with you.   The Christian life is a race.   "Now when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed. ” Acts 13: 36 (NIV) --- Learn more about Greg Laurie and Harvest Ministries at harvest. org.
