What It Really Means to Be Born Again: A Biblical Perspective Church Attendance Doesn’t Equal a Relationship with God Just because someone goes to church doesn’t mean they have a personal relationship with God. In fact, many Americans identify as “born again,” yet their beliefs often contradict core biblical truths. A recent poll revealed that: 28% of self-identified born-again Christians believe Jesus sinned. One-third think being a good person is enough to get into Heaven. Clearly, there’s confusion about what it truly means to be born again.
