Refining Faith (by Cathe Laurie)

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. The term refined by fire has taken on a whole new meaning for us here in Southern California. In the last month, people we know have lost their homes and even their lives. There are no words to “fix” it and nothing that truly expresses the grief and sorrow.

A New Beginning is the daily, half-hour radio program featuring pastor and evangelist Greg Laurie. Greg is senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside and Irvine, California. Once Upon a Time, There Was No Woke Snow White...

Disney has a new live action version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs hitting theaters—a woke Snow White. This is Disney’s latest attempt to remake a classic, and let’s just say that they’ve lost the point. And it didn’t help that the lead actress, Rachel Zegler, torched the original film in interviews before the cameras even started rolling. Rachel Zegler’s Controversial Snow White Comments She Dismissed the 1937 animated classic as “extremely dated when it comes to the ideas of women being in roles of power and what a woman is fit for." And she added, “there is a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her. Weird, weird.”
