In 2 Samuel 5, David became more and more powerful and the Lord was with him. Over the next few chapters, David had a string of victories and defeated several opponents. But in chapter 11, King David's disobedience caught up to him and he failed the test of prosperity when he slept with Bathsheba and then murdered her husband Uriah while trying to cover up his sin. How do we handle prosperity as believers and can we pass our own tests of prosperity? Anything that is outside of the will of God needs to be addressed in our lives and we must confess our sins directly to God since He knows all anyway.
