Determined Faith - Risk, Reward, and Judgment - Part 1

Does it make any difference in eternity whether you serve God with intention, or if you’re ambivalent about your faith? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses what the Bible says about eternal rewards. Our salvation is a gift from God, and there is nothing we can do to earn it—but Christ-followers will also be asked to give an accounting of our lives. Rewards in eternity will come from how we honor the Lord with our time, talents, resources, and choices today.

Big Trouble Ahead - The Practice of Repentance

Jesus’s first directive was not to believe, but to repent. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses how repentance leads to faith—it’s a foundational practice we cannot afford to ignore. Our salvation is an expression of grace—we didn’t earn it, we don’t deserve it, and it’s not based on merit. But for Jesus to be Lord of our lives, we need to regularly repent and yield our will to Him. Jesus is Lord of everything, or He’s not Lord of anything. Pastor Allen offers steps we can take toward repentance, inviting the Spirit of God to give us eyes to see and ears to hear what He wants us to show us.

In Matthew 10, Jesus presents a series of perspectives that drastically differ from what our culture and many contemporary Churches espouse. Pastor Allen walks through several of those viewpoints. The hope of the world rests in the unlikely hands of you and me, and our response will determine our future. While it’s difficult to give ourselves fully to Jesus and the assignments He has for us, when we do, it leads to God’s best for our lives.
