Big Trouble Ahead - How to Respond

How often do we need to hear the Truth before we choose to follow it? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson encourages us to strengthen the foundations of our faith by hearing God’s Word and putting it into practice. Ultimately, the foundation of our lives and our faith is Jesus, and the more clearly we realize that, the more stable our lives become. A firm foundation will carry us through any challenge, and we need to be intentional in building and maintaining it.

The Display of Good and Evil - Part 2

God’s Word instructs us to overcome evil with good, and if we’re given an instruction from God, we can trust it’s possible to complete. So, how can we overcome evil with good? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson answers this question, teaching from the Gospel of Luke. He walks us through Jesus’ Passion—His crucifixion, death, and resurrection—and we see different responses from different kinds of people around Jesus. Some chose to mock Him, some stayed silent, and some spoke up. What kind of people will we be? Overcoming evil will require great courage—courage that God promises to provide for us.

Gethsemane To Golgotha - Part 2

Even facing brutal execution, Jesus refused to disassociate from the Kingdom of God. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses Jesus’ arrest and conviction, as told by the Gospel of Luke. Over the course of Jesus’ journey, we see contrasts between those who choose to align themselves with God’s Kingdom and those who do not. Pastor Allen teaches about the implications of this demonstration for the world today. It's our turn to choose: Will we believe or not believe? Will we be faithful or unfaithful? If we choose to follow God, we will face discomfort and rejection—but will we overcome that so we can boldly share the gospel in a world ripe for harvest?

Jesus, His Followers, and Politics - Courage Required

Is it more important to follow God's laws or civil policies? There are times we’ll need to choose which to obey. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses several places in scripture where people disobeyed civil authority to stay true to God’s commands. The Hebrew midwives, John, Paul, and many others consistently decided to follow God instead of ungodly laws made by people in power. Choosing to be faithful to God requires courage, and it may come with unpleasant earthly consequences—but it has a significant impact in God’s Kingdom. Our assignment is to preach the gospel to all the world, and that mission remains the same—no matter what civil authorities demand.
