False Prophets, False Apostles, and the False Church - Part 1

For something to be false, there must be something else that’s true. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson offers insight to help us distinguish false teachings from the truth of God. Instead of following someone based on their anointing, the miracles they perform, or the popularity of their church—first look at the fruit of their lives. Is it God-honoring? Does their life align with the truth of Scripture, or do they seem to be seeking approval from the world? Is Jesus central to their story? Pastor Allen discusses the fruit of the lives of three leaders in the Bible—Saul, David, and Solomon—and how their decisions impacted their anointings and their eternities.

Let's Pray - Prayer 201 - Part 1

Prayer is a powerful response to life’s challenges. It opens doorways of God’s possibilities because God hears and responds to the prayers of His people. Prayer is an invitation to each of us to cooperate with His purposes, even when we’re not sure of the outcome. When we interact with the people in our lives by saying “Let’s pray,” we interject invitations to walk with God in a non-threatening way. Pastor Allen reminds us that the same power in the prayers of the Old Testament prophets and the New Testament disciples is available to us today.

Let's Pray - Improving Vision

Spiritual things are as real as the physical world in which we live; Genesis 1 says that God’s Spirit brought order to the chaos present on earth. Adults are often more comfortable in the rational, physical world, but Jesus said to His followers, “Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Jesus used the example of a child—with a child’s desire to learn and change—as the doorway to significance in His Kingdom. Just as a child wants to learn, we should want to learn how to align ourselves with His purposes.

America - Lest We Forget - Part 2

When men forget God, terrible things unfold. The Ten Commandments outline God’s standards of holiness, and Pastor Allen summarizes what they say and provides insight on how they apply to our lives. It doesn't take long to lose an idea. If we don't fear the Lord and walk uprightly in holiness and righteousness, teaching our children to do the same, that wisdom will be lost to us, as a people.
