There is a God, and He has revealed Himself to us. While He has created us in His image, we are flawed and in need of a Savior. May it be said of us, first and foremost, that we are Jesus people who reflect the grace and mercy of Almighty God. But with grace comes responsibility, and as His people we have been given a season to pray and to act and to make possible the opportunities of God in the earth in a whole new way.
Our faith is not fundamentally about a moral code. Our faith is grounded in the notion that Almighty God is involved in the unfolding of human history and is the salvation of humanity. We were designed for a relationship with Him, and until we acknowledge Jesus as Savior there is a void within us. Resentment is a dangerous filter to view the world through. It can grow into anger, hatred, bitterness, and all sorts of destructive things—but there’s an alternative: forgiveness.
