Bold Faith - People Get Ready

God has given each of us a revelation of Himself that we can receive, understand, and interpret. But we must choose what to do with it: live as skeptics and cynics or as believers with bold, increasing faith that will allow us to flourish amid challenging times. The Church has a choice to make: Will we demonstrate to the watching world the faith we proclaim inside the walls of the church? Will we be the people of God in this season?

We Need A Savior - The Jesus People

There is a God, and He has revealed Himself to us. While He has created us in His image, we are flawed and in need of a Savior. May it be said of us, first and foremost, that we are Jesus people who reflect the grace and mercy of Almighty God. But with grace comes responsibility, and as His people we have been given a season to pray and to act and to make possible the opportunities of God in the earth in a whole new way.

We Need A Savior

Our faith is not fundamentally about a moral code. Our faith is grounded in the notion that Almighty God is involved in the unfolding of human history and is the salvation of humanity. We were designed for a relationship with Him, and until we acknowledge Jesus as Savior there is a void within us. As our nation becomes more hostile to Christianity, we should pray for a revelation of Jesus that makes the truth welcome once again.

A Change of Heart - The Shadow of Paganism - Part 2

Our generation is presiding over one of the most precipitous declines of Christian influence in the history of the Church—but we can change that. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses our need for repentance, or truly turning away from our sins. He teaches about the spreading influence of paganism and false gospels in our culture, such as Pelagianism and the gospel of cheap grace. Pastor Allen reads from Matthew, Luke, and other books to emphasize upholding a biblical definition of marriage and the importance of protecting children. If we want to see change in the culture around us, we ourselves must have a change of heart.

A Change of Heart - Forgiveness and Resentment - Part 2

Resentment is a dangerous filter to view the world through. It can grow into anger, hatred, bitterness, and all sorts of destructive things—but there’s an alternative: forgiveness. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the damaging effects of resentment versus the freedom found in forgiveness. He teaches about transactional faith as opposed to transformational faith— “using” God to get our ways versus letting Him change our lives. Pastor Allen emboldens us to have the courage to forgive others and to speak out about our faith, even in the face of criticism. During this season of increasing division, it's time to have a change of heart and let go of our unforgiveness.
