Let's Do Difficult - Breaking Our Addiction to Easy - Part 1

It’s time to break our addiction to easy. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson encourages us to lead with our faith by choosing to do something difficult every day. We tend to embrace what’s easy or comes with the least resistance, but God calls us to choose a different path—a path that requires our diligence, trust, and obedience, no matter what. Following God in new ways often seems difficult and counter-intuitive at first, but as we obey God and take the next step forward, He meets us with His strength. Doing difficult things opens the pathway to knowing God more fully, growing our trust and faith in Him.

Easter, The Cast of Characters - Part 1

Many of us know the Easter story and the people involved with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. But in this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson digs deeper, showing how many unlikely characters recognized Jesus as their Lord, while others surprisingly withdrew from the arena. It’s helpful to examine the people in the Easter story because God is still calling a people to Himself—a people who will believe in Him and acknowledge the truth about Jesus of Nazareth. The resurrection is just one example of God moving in the earth with “a mighty hand and an outstretched arm.” In times of shaking, God intervenes for His people with His power and might. Our generation desperately needs expressions of the power of God, and that recognition, desire, and expectation begins in the hearts of His people—you and me.

Clarify Your Identity - Authority in The Heavens - Part 2

Through the Holy Spirit’s power, Jesus was raised from a tomb and was seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty, Lord of all. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson explains the significance of who we are in Christ and the power and authority available to us as His disciples. Through our faith in Christ, we become the seed of Abraham and an heir to God’s promises to the Jewish people. Through Christ, we have access to God’s throne. The same spiritual power that raised Jesus from the dead will work on our behalf today as we move forward in God’s purposes. Let’s identify ourselves with Jesus and use the authority He has given us to take His truth, hope, and healing into our culture.
