Aisha has a fascinating story. A highly motivated student, she initially wanted to be a pediatrician. But as her world expanded, her interests grew into finance and public policy. By her own admission, she was the kind of student who really didn’t study that hard. Academics came easy to her. And then there was an unplanned pregnancy and the pressure to abort from her “boyfriend.” Needless to say, life changed considerably.

In 2020, Choose Life Radio aired an interview with Marilyn Heavilin, author of the book, Roses in December. It is airing again as a tribute to Marilyn’s ministry and those who have lost a loved one—especially a child or grandchild. Although Marilyn has passed away, her book is still available and continues to minister to so many. As you will note, Marilyn experienced some difficulty speaking. Her husband, Glen, lovingly helped Marilyn communicate her thoughts. Marilyn’s ministry continues to bless so many—including Howard and me.
