He’s a University of Kansas basketball great who made a name for himself on the college and professional hardwoods. But accepting Christ into his life while a student at KU has proven to be the most impactful moment in his life, and he’s continued to use the platform that God has given him following his playing days to reach others on college campuses and beyond. Chris Meikel is joined by Jayhawk legend Wayne Simien, a native of Leavenworth, Kansas, on this Special Encounter on Bott Radio Network. www.waynesimien.com
On this Special Encounter on Bott Radio Network – The 1960s was a decade that changed America. Man’s efforts over the years to create a utopian society have failed. Why? Because they’re based on man’s efforts, when we need to submit to God’s authority. Chris Meikel talks with author Tim Goeglein, author of “Stumbling Toward Utopia,” about reversing the destruction that’s been done to our society, that continues even today. How the 1960s turned into a national nightmare and how we can revive the American Dream. That’s the topic on this Special Encounter on Bott Radio Network.
The White Rose Resistance is the fastest-growing pro-life non-profit in America, committed to confronting the silence of the American church on abortion and inspiring action. Seth Gruber is the Founder and CEO of the organization and in this Special Encounter, Eben Fowler asks Seth about his background in the pro-life movement; how the White Rose Resistance was started and where it got its name; "The 1916 Project," the recently released documentary about Margaret Sanger and the Nazi roots of Planned Parenthood; and, what's going on across the country in the aftermath of the overturning of Roe versus Wade.
Dave Penny joins Chris Meikel on this Special Encounter. His background includes becoming a believer in Christ as a student at MIT before his graduation from that institution. He then got a degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. He and others have formed the Genesis Academy to create biblical and educational resources for the next generation of Christians. One of those is the Joshua Project which centers on Genesis 1-11 with a strong emphasis on science and the historical events of the first part of Genesis (Creation, The Fall, The Flood and Tower of Babel). It's a compelling conversation that you'll enjoy on this Special Encounter on Bott Radio Network.
