Economist Jerry Bowyer warns that while a national debt crisis may not be imminent, the US is drawing closer to one. With a declining working population, a debt-to-GDP ratio of 100%, and a lack of appetite for spending cuts, the Congressional Budget Office has added an additional $3.1 trillion to the projected national debt over the next 10 years. Bowyer also points to the 70 million people missing from the economy due to abortion as an aggravating factor. He believes immigration will be key to the future of America, though this is complicated by the lack of agreement over immigration policy in Washington.
