Getting out of a timeshare can be a difficult and expensive process. Selling a timeshare is almost impossible due to the lack of need for it, and the bad reputation of the companies that sell them. The Timeshare Users Group (TUG) is a great source of information and advice, and can help you find a buyer. If you can't sell it, you can ask the resort to take it back, or use a timeshare exit company, but be wary of scams. You can also hire a contract attorney to help you get out of the timeshare. Ultimately, the best way to avoid the hassle of getting out of a timeshare is to not buy one in the first place.
