Having a plan is the best way to meet your financial goals, but if you're a Christian, it's important to make sure your plans line up with God's will. The Bible tells us that God requires us to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him. We should trust in the Lord with all our heart and submit our ways to Him. Seeking wise counsel is also a biblical idea. When we focus on things that have eternal value, God will direct us into His will. We can also get practical advice from trusted friends or family. To save, set a target amount and figure out how much you need to put away each month. For debt, figure out what you owe and make a plan to pay it off. For employment, get training and improve your skills, network, and practice your interview skills. Ultimately, when we focus on the things that have eternal value, the purpose of the Lord will prevail in our financial life.
