When you think of the holidays, is heaven on your mind? For many of us, the thought of a loved one not being with us this Christmas brings heaven and eternal things to mind. But some may be so caught up in the busyness of the holiday season they may not give it a thought. This week, our executive producer Steve Conover sits down with our host Chris Katulka to talk about an article Chris wrote in Israel My Glory magazine entitled, “Home to Eden.” Chris will share how Greek philosophy has crept into Christians' beliefs of heaven. They’ll also talk about what heaven will look like as well as talk about what happens to Christians when they die. Scripture talks about being raised when Christ returns, so what does that mean for us as believers when we die? The holidays are the perfect time to talk about eternity. It’s a time that we should all be reflecting on things to come. God came down to earth to reconcile us to God—what a time to worship our great God and meditate on His goodness to us.
