James, having spent time in prison due to a business deal, feels the need to make amends for his past actions. Although he cannot directly contact his victims, he is determined to help young men avoid the same mistakes he made. With a long Catholic background but now attending a non-denominational church, James and June discuss the idea of mentoring young men, both those in prison and those outside. June inquires about James' salvation, and he affirms that he is saved. They also discuss creating a pamphlet to share his story of faith and redemption.

Cheri has been "waiting to die" since her marriage failed in 2006. She says she is trying to recover from hoarding without developing an eating disorder. When she was in 4th grade, her older brother started having sex with her. In 5th grade, her father started fondling her, begging for sex until she was 22 y. o. She has been married 3 times and has always chosen controlling men. She feels that every man she has known has betrayed her. Cheri feels that what she really needs is forgiveness for her father and mother.

The sister and father moved to be close to Susan and the sister always needed help, becoming very demanding. Three years ago, Susan set boundaries and her sister became upset and moved back.  Susan wants to pursue reconciliation.

Hope in the Night 1-7-2025 Marriage

Roy, aged 51, was living with his girlfriend, and they recently had a child together. Both were smokers and drank daily, but after the baby was born, his girlfriend stopped these habits and asked him to do the same. Roy did not make the change, leading his girlfriend to leave two months ago, cutting off contact. In a conversation with June, Roy expresses his desire to change for the sake of his relationship. June discusses trust in relationships and suggests that Roy consider adopting the character that he believes God would want him to have. She also recommends finding a mentor for accountability to help him in his journey of change.
