Prayer is Where the Action Is
In Exodus 17, the Israelites faced an enemy bent on destroying them. As Joshua led the army in battle, Moses sat on the hilltop holding the staff of God above his head. At first glance, Moses' position may have seemed strange - why wasn't he in the fray? While the battle was fought on the field, victory was secured on the hilltop. Prayer is the place where we win or lose our fights, and God intends for us to have victory.
