PJ Moore, Executive Director and Wayne Denny, Director of Church & Community Engagement from World Relief Memphis discuss how recent immigration changes are affecting their work here in our city and how local churches can become a valued resource among their efforts. Persecuted Christians population are another concern and it’s increasing numbers compared to just a few years ago. The criteria refugees must meet to receive assistance, the preparation that World Relief Memphis staff makes before receiving refugees, and the services and support that they provide locally is also a part of our conversation. World Relief’s eighty-year history in the United States, specifically, focuses on helping refugees and other immigrants in vulnerable situations rebuild their lives in a new country.
