Carey Madison Moore and Cheryl Henderson discuss how My Cup of Tea provides fair-wage jobs to help women overcome poverty living in the Orange Mound community. Orange Mound is the oldest African American Community in America. In 1895, a portion of the land from the vast Dederick Plantation was sliced into narrow lots and sold to African Americans. These women are provided with the tools they need to thrive financially, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
