Quest for Biblical and Ethical Orthodoxy // February 7, 2024

Bishop Scott Jones of the Global Methodist Church talks about his departure from the United Methodist Church and the creation of a new denomination. Formerly, leader of the United Methodist’s Great Plains and Houston Episcopal Areas, Bishop Jones discusses the theological disagreements that have resulted in many Methodists’ departure from the denomination. He addresses the difficulty that pastors face moving out of a denomination having childhood roots and generational family history. He unpacks the new mission for the Global Methodist Church of forming disciples who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.
