Hal also shares about his sister, Kathy’s passing from Covid, impacted his perspective on grief, and how it translates into the book's message. He recalls how a childhood dog named, JAB-O helped to prepare him for future grief, grief associated with the untimely deaths of several close friends, and some dear family members. Born in Brazil and raised as a Buddhist by his parents, Johnathan recalls an invitation from a neighborhood lady to visit her church. That invitation would become something that would change the course of his life forever.
