Women and Financial Decisions with Sharon Epps

Christian talk radio with Rob West

September 8, 2018

Heres something you probably didnt know: women own 51% of all personal wealth in the United States. And as the transfer of wealth continues, that number is going to grow even higher. But if women hold the purse strings, does that mean theyre prepared to make necessary financial decisions? Today, Rob West and Steve Moore discuss that with Women Doing Well co-founder, Sharon Epps. Next, they answer your questions at (800) 525-7000 and [email protected] about the following: - I have a better credit score than my husband. He needs to buy a car, but they said he needs a cosigner. Is it OK for me to cosign for him since were married? - Are medical facilities allowed to access your credit score to determine your propensity to pay? -Ill be getting an inheritance of $80,000 soon. I owe $30,000 on my cars, which I plan to pay off. Should I put the rest of the money toward my mortgage? Or should I use it to fix up the house? -I have a green checking account with a good interest rate. I have $50,000 saved in the account. Is it better to leave the money there to earn interest, or should I use the money to pay down my mortgage? -In my mothers will, everything is split 50/50 between my brother and I. The only exception is her house, which my brother co-owned with my mother. Should the house be split 50/50 between my brother and I as well?
