The purpose of The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary is to raise public awareness of The Salvation Army, to facilitate services to individuals in need, and to strengthen the financial base of the local Salvation Army. About Stories Behind the Shield

The Salvation Army of Memphis and the Midsouth started 125 years ago by 5 churches in Memphis who donated 500 dollars, that was in the 1900’s and today we stand tall as a beacon of hope, inspiration, and encouragement. We come alongside men, women, and children to help break the chains of poverty, homelessness, and generational poverty. We know to heal Memphis it will take an Army, will you join us and be a part of HIS ARMY and our ARMY, at the Salvation Army, where salvation is free and has an eternal impact!
