Andrew Yates Joins BRN as Manager of Public Affairs
OVERLAND PARK, Kan., September 02, 2014 – Bott Radio Network (BRN) announces the appointment of Andrew Yates to the newly created role of Manager of Public Affairs. One of the primary responsibilities of this new position will be to connect with and engage a variety of leaders and listeners in communities served by Bott Radio Network.
“Bott Radio Network has a 52-year history of engaging and serving listeners and leaders in communities throughout our 95-station network,” said Paul Scianna, director of Communications and Marketing for Bott Radio Network. “The newly created role of Manager of Public Affairs will enable BRN to more effectively serve the interests of our listeners and community leaders as we continue to expand our network of stations.”
Yates began his professional radio career as an on-air announcer. He has since served in a number of roles in both radio and television, including executive producer, recording engineer and copywriter. He most recently served as an anchor and reporter for KMBZ Radio (Entercom Communications) in Kansas City.
An accomplished music composer and conductor, Andrew is a graduate of MidAmerica Nazarene University. He and his wife, Loretta, have seven children and live in the Kansas City area.
