Prayer at the Park // May 6, 2021
On April 17, 1952, President Harry Truman signed a bill proclaiming the National Day of Prayer into law in the United States. President Reagan amended the law in 1988, designating the first Thursday of May each year as the National Day of Prayer. Henry Hutton, Ronnie Johnson, Randy Shepherd, Dr. Alvin McKinney, David Ford, and Bruce Carroll provide details about praying from 2PM-Sunset at Shelby Farms Park at Hyde Pavilion. Shelby Farms Park is one of the twenty largest urban parks, at a size of 4,500 acres and covers more than five times the area of Central Park in New York City with 843 acres.
